What is Dasiphora fruticosa

Dasiphora fruticosa or Kinpeibai (scientific name:Dasiphora fruticosa) is cold resistance deciduous small shrub of the family Rosaceae native to the northern hemisphere. It grows naturally in the rubble area of (sub-) Alpen in Japan of Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu. It has small leaves on odd feathered double. From the early summer to the summer, from the shoot apex or the axilis, the divergent inflorescences are stretched and five yellow blossoms similar to plum blossoms bloom. The name 'fruticosa' is 'shrub like' in Greek. The flower language is "short love". The origin of flower name may be based on short life span of one flower. However, fortunately, the flower season is long, and the small flowers continue to bloom from one spring to the next, from spring to autumn. A variant has a ginpeibai (scientific name: Dasiphora fruticosa vr. Mandshurica) that makes white flowers bloom.
