What is Erythrina variegata
Erythrina variegata or Deigo (scientific name: Erythrina variegata) is native Indian and is semi-cold resistant deciduous broad-leaved trees of the family Fabaceae. Before the spring leaves, extend the spikes and attach a large number of red-bird's beaky flowers. Leaf color is green, but there are plaques on it. Leaves are large three-piece three-piece complex leaves. Flowers bloom from bottom to top, flowers have nectar, so birds and bats are coming away. When the flowers scatter, I attach a fruit similar to the sheath of broad beans (Tian Beans). As the trunk grows fast, it branches sideways, so it can be planted as street trees and park trees for the shade of the shade and wind blows. It is deciduous trees, but leaves do not fall at the same time, only the leaves of the branches in which the flowers are bloom first fall. The material is soft and easy to process, so it is used for lacquer wood. It is a prefectural flower of Okinawa. There are about 100 kinds in the genus Deigo.
