Red Deadnettle

Red Deadnettle (scientific name: Lamium purpureum) is a European origin, it is an overgrowth of of the family Lamiaceae.
It is a naturalized plant from Europe and we are planting it. The stem has a square cross section and a small, red-purple flower with lip shape circulates in the stem node.
It is about half the height of plant height, flower diameter, etc. from henbit dead-nettle of the same family.
It is similar to Shiso leaves edible leaves because it is a labiatae, the upper side is a purple color similar to reddish purple and the reverse side is green. The leaves are alive, there are veins on the leaves and wrinkles.
The flower language is "happiness of spring". "Lamium" in the genus name means "laimos (throat)" in Latin, because the tubular part of the corolla is long and looks like a throat. "Species purple" is a Latin word meaning "purple".
