On a snowy morning,
a single droplet rested
on the red berries of the rowan tree.

“Aren’t you cold?” asked the wind.
The droplet shimmered with a smile.
“A little,” it said,
“but inside this berry, it’s warm.”

The rowan said nothing,
only swayed its branches gently.
Its fruit, like wood that endures seven firings,
**stood firm, kind, and quietly lit the winter.**

Wrapped in that warmth,
the droplet sank into the snow,
watching over the first signs of spring.

It was—
**a droplet of life,
born in the cold,
carrying warmth.**

Japanese rowan

Japanese rowan , Nana-kamado, or Sorbus commixta (scientific name: Sorbus commixta), is a native to Japan, Sakhalin and Korean Peninsula and is a deciduous tree of the family Rosaceae.
