What is Medinilla magnifica

Medinilla 'Hinotori' (scientific name: Medinilla hybrid 'Hinotori', M.magnifica x M.miniata) is a small evergreen shrub, a hybrid of Medinilla magnifica and Medinilla miniata by Japanese horticulturist Mr. Akira Ozaki (Chiba City, Japan).
Hinotori (M. 'Hinotori') has strong characteristics of M.magnifica, and the dark red color of the flowers is inherited from M. miniata'.
The tree is about 1.5 meters tall with many branching branches. The leaves are large and elliptic, dark green with a distinct my phrase. In spring, summer and fall, large, dark reddish-pink conical inflorescences hang from the tops of the stems and produce flowers that look like "firebirds" when in bloom.
The genus name Medinilla is a dedication to Jose de Medinilla, a Spaniard and governor of the Marianne Islands in the early 19th century, and the variety name is the Japanese name "Firebird" named by Akira Ozaki. This may be due to the red bracts, grape cluster-like flower color, and flower shape that looks like a phoenix with outstretched wings. The language of flowers is "kindness.
