What is Hypsizygus tessellatus

Hypsizygus tessellatus or bunashimeji (scientific name: Hypsizygus marmoreus) is an edible mushroom of the family Tricholomataceae. Shiitake mushroom is a mushroom that usually rides on the table. Previously, this species was sold under the name “Shimeji”, but it is clearly different from the real one, so it has been distributed under the name “Bunashimeji” under administrative guidance. Honshimeji (a real mushroom) grows on the roots of living trees with rooting fungi, but beech shimeji grows from dead trees called rotting fungi.
