Racan Maki

Lakan maki (scientific name: Podocarpus macrophyllus var. Maki) is an evergreen coniferous tree in the family Podocarpaceae native to Japan. It is a varieties of dogwood（P. macrophyllus）, smaller than dogwood, and has more leaves. It is dioecious and blooms in early summer. Female flowers grow singly on the axils of the previous year's branches, and male flowers bunch two or three columnar spikes on the axils.
