Mansaku (Scientific name: Hamamelis japonicaa) is a deciduous shrub in the family Hamamelidaceae endemic to Japan. It produces yellow cord-like flowers first thing in spring. The flowers are aromatic. The flowers bloom earlier than the leaves develop. The autumn leaves are also beautiful.
