What is Tama hydrangea

Tama hydrangea (scientific name: Hydrangea involucrata) is a deciduous shrub in the Hydrangeaceae family, native to Japan and Taiwan. It is native to the mountainous regions of the northeastern dark to central Japan. The round, white bracts surrounding the buds are conspicuous. In summer to early summer, when the buds swell, the bracts fall off and the flowers bloom. The flowers have a light purple bisexual flower in the center with white four-petaled ornamental flowers around it. The entire tree is hairy.
