Hosta sieboldiana or Ooba Giboshi (scientific name: Hosta sieboldiana) is native to East Asia, and is a cold-resistant perennial of thefamily Asparagaceae. Wild plants breed a lot in mountainous areas. Leaves are like psyllium. In early summer, it stretches flower stalk from between the large root leaves.
Extend the long flower inflorescence from the tip of the flower stalk and bloom many white or light purple flowers. Flowers are like {{lilies}}. The Japanese name "Giboshi" is based on the fact that the flower bud resembles the Japanese traditional building decoration Giboshi. It is a day blossoming flower.
