Brownea ariza (scientific name: Brownea ariza) is a vine evergreen shrub in thefamily legume family Fabaceae, native to Peru. Small red cylindrical flowers are clustered together in a drooping spherical shape. The flowers begin to bloom in order from the outside. It is a member of Brownea grandiceps (scientific name: Brownea grandiceps), and the way it flowers is similar. The sprouts are salmon-pink in color and change to yellow-green and green.
