What is Papaver setigerum

Papaver Setigerum (Atsumi poppy, Scientific name: Papaver setigerum) is a native to Africa, and it is an annual plant of the family Papaveraceae. It is also called Setigerm. In Japan, it is a naturalized plant found on the Amami Peninsula, so it was named. In early summer from the spring, with dark purple petals base, petals bloom lilac four-valve flower. There is no record of opiate formation, but alkaloids can be extracted. Opium poppy to be one of, as well as Somuniferumu species, is a kind of poppy cultivation is prohibited in the Opium.
