What is Spiralis ginger

Spiralis ginger or Costus spiralis (scientific name: Costus spiralis 'Strawberry Bud') is a native of Brazil and is a large perennial or shrub of the family Costaceae. Spiralis ginger is called because the leaves attached to the stem are spiral. Stock height is about 2 m. Leaves are elliptical or wide lanceolate, with leaf edges all over and leaves in a spiral. The inflorescence is a cranial flower, the one that looks like a flower is a bract, and it is well reddish red. The actual flower is a small yellow tubular flower that emerges from the bract. In the field, flowers bloom all year round.
In Brazilian traditional medicine, leaves, stems and rhizomes are treated for the treatment of complications of diabetes, gonorrhea, syphilis, nephritis, insect bites, treating bladder disorders, diuretics, tonic drugs. Applications are used as traditional medicines as above, as well as for ornamental purposes.
