What is Sweet violet

Sweet violet (scientific name: Viola odorata) is native to Europe and North Africa, West Asia, and is a cold-resistant perennial of the violet family violet. The stem is shiny, the leaves are heart-shaped, and the flowers have fragrance. Flowers are smaller than pansies and violas, but flower attachment is also inferior, but flower fragrance is strong. It is also known as the flower that Napoleon loved. Because of fragrance, it is also called 'Sweet violet', and many horticultural species are bred. Usage is flower as raw material of perfume, potted plant, small bouquet, corsage. Flowers have been used for scenting candy stores since long ago, but seeds and rhizomes contain toxic ingredients. The Sweet violet 'Kogane' (scientific name: Viola odorata 'Kogane') which is a kind of odorous violet is a yellow variety of leaves.
