Eranthemum pulchellum , Blue eranthemum or Rurihanagasa (scientific name: Eranthemum pulchellum) is an evergreen small shrub native to India and belonging to the family Acanthaceae. From midwinter to spring, the spikes are stretched from the axilis, and many bluish violet florets covered with bracts are bloomed. Flower is a tubular flower and the tip is split by 5. Inflorescence blooms from bottom to top. Two stamper jumped out of the flower are conspicuous. It is planted for viewing. The genus name "Eranthemum" comes from the Latin "Er (spring) + anthemum (flower)" = "spring flower". "Species picnic" pulchellum " means" pretty " in Latin.
