What is Abelia grandiflora

Abelia (scientific name: Abelia grandiflora) is an evergreen shrub of the family Caprifoliaceae, native to China (gardening species). Because it is strong and also for cutting, it is planted in hedges, road separations and gardens. A large number of small bell-shaped white flowers or light pink flowers are placed on the tip of many branches of a short tree from early summer to autumn for a long time. The small leaves have a shiny green color, but some varieties have yellow or white spots on the leaves. There are also Abelia 'Edward goucher' that bloom deep pink flowers.

General name: Abelia, Scientific name: Abelia grandiflora, aka: Hanazono tsukubane utsugi , Origin: China (Horticulture Species), tree height: 3 to 4 m, flowering season: June to October, flower color: white (rarely peach, different from Abelia 'Edward goucher')
