What is Sanbokan
Sanbokan (scientific name: Citrus sulcata) is a special product of Wakayama Prefecture, and is an evergreen shrub / citrus fruit tree belonging to the family Rutaceae. A kind of citrus fruit whose parents are unknown. The fruit is medium-sized and has a bottom that resembles a decopon( (scientific name: Citrus unshiu x C. sinensis) x C. reticulata). The fruit has a refreshing taste and aroma. The peel is easy to peel, but it is thick and has few flesh, has many seeds, and tends to rise. The pulp is used for jams and marmalades, and the peel is used for cooking dishes such as steamed tea.
