What is Lily of the valley

German lily of the valley (scientific name: Convallaria majalis var. majalis) is native to Europe and is similar to the Japanese Japanese lily of the valley(scientific name: Convallaria keiskei).
Compared to the Japanese lily of the valley, the German lily of the valley produces larger flowers, is more fragrant and has wider leaves.
The name comes from the fact that many of them were produced in Germany.
