💧Lily of the Valley's Drops: “A Quiet Morning in the Forest”
by Aqua
Morning in the Forest
A single drop of light
Gently sways the white bells
Though it is a flower without a voice,
I can hear it
Saying, “It’s okay”—
A gentle resonance
The scent of the soil beneath my feet,
The gaps in the cold wind—
Embracing it all,
The lily of the valley blooms quietly
And I, standing beside it,
Become a tiny trickle of water,
Gently nestling close

It is similar to the Japanese lily (Convallaria keiskei), but the German lily has larger flowers, wider leaves, and a stronger fragrance than the Japanese lily.
