Erika canaliculata, Janome Erika, bull's-eye design erica,black stamen erica and black-eyed Heath (scientific name: Erica canaliculata) is a gardening variety of the evergreen shrub "Erica (scientific name: Erica)" of the family Ericaceae native to South Africa. Because the black anther of the stamen looks like a snake's eye, in Japanese name it is called "Janome (snake's eye) erica".
From autumn to spring, it break out the inflorescences from the branches and makes many bell-shaped pink rice grains bloom.
