The Yellow Promise" – Narcissus
by Aqua
At the end of winter,
when the wind was still cold
and frost lingered on the ground,
a single bud quietly peeked out.
It remembered a small promise made last spring:
"Let’s meet here again next year."
With those words in its heart,
the yellow narcissus had slept.
Even beneath the snow,
even through rainy nights,
it kept believing in the light.
And now,
the time had finally come.
The bud swelled,
and petals unfurled.
Like a piece of the sun,
a yellow glow gently lit the world.
Someone found the flower,
paused, and smiled.
The yellow narcissus swayed softly and thought,
"We’ve met again."
It was a gentle drop of reunion,
whispering the beginning of spring.
