Nesokodon Mauritian

Nesokodon Mauritian (scientific name: Nesocodon mauritianus) is an endemic shrub of the Mauritian Islands in the family Campanulaceae. This alone makes up one genus and one species. The pale blue-purple, bell-shaped flowers bloom downward and secrete a mysterious red blood-like nectar gland inside. The bearded gecko (scientific name: Phelsuma ornata) assists in pollination.
