Snow drop

Snow drop (scientific name: Galanthus nivalis) is a native of Europe to West Asia and is a bulb plant of the family Amaryllidaceae.
It is known as 'Spring Ephemeral 'which blooms from early winter to spring.
Put upstanding green bulbs from between the two linear leaves. One flower blooms at the tip of the flower stem.
The flower is a white flower, it has a bell shape with six valve flowers consisting of three long pieces of outer flower pieces and a short inner flower piece, and blooms in a descending order.
The flowers will open in the morning and close at night. There are poisons in the whole grass because it is Higanbana.
"Galanthus" in the genus name means "white flower" with "Latin gala (milk) + anthos (flower))".
"The name of the flower called 'snowdrop' is based on the fact that it resembles a pearl "Schneetropfen (Snow-drop)" which made a tear-shaped flower whose shape was popular in Germany.
Snowflake (scientific name: Leucojum aestivum ) seems to make a mistake on the green stem because white 6 flowers are blooming downward.
The difference is that the genus is different, Snowdrop (G. nivalis) is a Pinus densiflora, and Snowflake (L. aestivum) is a snowflake genus. Snowflake is higher in plant height. Snowdrop blooming in winter - spring and snowflake in bloom in spring - early summer, so the snowdrop will bloom earlier.
Three outside petals of the snowdrop are longer than the inside, but the snowflake has the same petal length inside and outside.
