Prunus mume 'sohaku-taikaku' is a rare variety of prunus mume mentioned in the Qing dynasty's book "Hana kagami(Flower Mirror)". The name 'sohaku-taikaku' refers to the pure white petals and 'taikaku' refers to the terraces. The stamens in the center of the plum blossoms are mutated, and the 38 petals look like more plum blossoms inside the plum blossoms.
