What is Salvia 'Blue Chill'
Salvia 'Blue Chill' (Scientific name: Salvia farinacea × S. longispicata 'Blue Chill') is a horticultural cultivar of a perennial herb belonging to the genus Salvia in the family Lamiaceae, native to Southern Europe. It is a hybrid of Salvia longispicata and Salvia farinacea.
Salvia 'Indigo Spires', also known as "Lavender Sage," is a hybrid cultivar between Salvia farinacea (commonly called Blue Salvia) and Salvia longispicata.
This cultivar, Salvia 'Blue Chill', is an early-blooming, slightly large variety that produces pale violet flowers. It was bred by M&B Flora.
The plant grows to a height of 50–60 cm.
Its blooming period is long, from April to November, continuously producing light blue flowers on long flower spikes.
It is suitable for pots, planters, and flower beds.
