Spiraea dasyantha

Spiraea dasyantha,Japanese Spirea, or Ibuki shimotsuke (scientific name: Spiraea dasyantha) is a small shrub of the family Rosaceae native to Japan. This plant produces a number of hemispherical flowers similar to those of Kodemari (Spiraea cantoniensis) in a corymbs inflorescence that extends from the tip of the stem. The flowers are round and white with small five-petaled flowers that are fragrant. The Japanese name 'Ibuki shimotsuke' is based on the fact that it is called Shimotsuke (scientific name: Spiraea japonica）, which was first discovered in Mt. Ibuki. The flowering season is from May to June, and it blooms earlier than Shimotsuke (S. japonica).
