What is Trollius riederianus

Reven kinbaisou (scientific name: Trollius ledebourii var. Polysepalus) is a peculiar species of Rebun Island and is a perennial plant of the family Ranunculaceae. It can be seen in Rebuno Island and alpine grassland in Hokkaido. From early summer to summer, yellow flowers bloom upward. However, what looks like this petal is a calyx and the petals look like stamens. Root leaves and foliage have a palm shape because two leaflets break apart from 3 out of the compound leaves. There are saw teeth on the leaf edge. The calyx fragments are as large as 10 to 13 sheets, and the leaves are deeply cut and sharp as compared with the crab liver. Flower name was attached by saying flower similar to golden plum blooming on Rebun Island.
