Washingtonia robusta (Mexican washingtonia , scientific name:Washingtonia robusta) is an evergreen tree of the Arecaceae family native to North America. Washingtonia robusta(W.robusta) is close relation of Washingtonia filifera(Washington palm, a scientific name:Washingtonia filifera). The leaves of the open palm grow thick on the tip of a very high trunk. The trunk is accompanied by the leaves which white noodles-formed things are outstanding. A trunk has the dead leaves with figure such as straw raincoat without dropping.The genus name is depend on the name of 'President Washington'.
