What is Hyuga mizuki

Hyuga mizuki (scientific name: Corylopsis pauciflora) is a deciduous shrub in the Hamamelidaceae, which is endemic to Japan. In the spring, before the leaves emerge, the pale yellow, bell-shaped crown of small flowers with five lacerated tips bloom underneath. Its Japanese name comes from its resemblance to the leaves of the mizuki in Hyuga.
