What is Anemone japonica

Anemone japonica or Shumei-giku (scientific name: Anemone hupehensis var. japonica) is native to China, and is a cold-resistant perennial of the family Ranunculaceae. The leaves are concentrated at the base and only the relatively small leaves are attached around the flowers, so it does not get in the way and the grass figure is refreshing. In autumn, attach a calyx such as white or pink, pink or purple flower resembling a chrysanthemum on a long and narrow stem tip. After the calyx fragments, a spherical flower core remains, and when ripening and breaking it appears a pure white fluff. There are a lot of seeds like sesame seeds in fluff and it is sprayed on the wind. In this way, even though there are sepals, flowers without corolla are called monochlamydeous flowers. In single flower-bloomed flowers, besides the main flower, there are inutades and {{chestnuts}}.
