American Wormseed (scientific name: Chenopodium ambrosioides L. var. anthelminthicum) is annual wild spinach of the family amaranthaceae native to South America. It is a variety of the Chenopodium ambrosioides. There was herb for removal of roundworms Chenopodium oil from in the past and in the current strong toxic effect. Now it cannot be used and is treated as wild grass.
