What is Japanese dock

Japanese dock or Yotei (scientific name: Rumex japonicus) is native to Japan, Korean Peninsula, China, Taiwan, Russia, and it is a large perennial wild grass of the family Polygonaceae. The thick stem stands upright and branches well at the top. Root leaf has long oval shape, long pattern and crowded. From spring to summer, put out a conical inflorescence from the tip of the branch and attach a flower consisting of six green calyxes. However, there are no petals. Of the six calyxes after flowers, three inner flower pieces grow larger. The flower piece is a triangle and there are small saw teeth on its edge. One light green fruit is formed in one inner flower piece. Three inner flowering pieces are joined together. The color of the inner fruit changes from green to brown.
