Epidendrum robustum f. allbum (Epidendrum robustum f. allbum) is a nonchilling evergreen perennial herb of the genus Epidendrum in the orchid family, native to Brazil. The herb is 30-60 cm tall. It is found on granite slopes at 1000 m elevation in the state of Rio de Janeiro. It is a close relative of Cattleya.
The leaves are thick and alternate in a single row, reminiscent of a succulent plant. It produces 15 to 50 flowers on stalks from spring to summer. The flowers are 3 to 4 cm in diameter and have no fragrance. The genus name "epi" means "above" and "dendrum" is a compound word made from the word for "tree," meaning "on a tree. Many species are epiphytic, i.e., epiphytic. The species name 'Robustum' means "hard and strong like an oak" in Latin.
