Threeleaf Arrowhead (Scilia, scientific name: Sagittaria trifolia var. Edulis) is an aquatic perennial vegetable of the genus Omodaka. The tuberous root of Omodaka is enlarged, grown in paddy fields of temperate and tropical regions of the world, and eaten the tubers.The leaves are green, the leaves are distinctive, the tip is arrowheaded It is called a Threeleaf Arrowhead in English name, it is said to be edible from the Edo period, its taste resembles lily root but has bitter taste.The season is from November to December. There are blue, yellow, white, and Suita kwai (Osaka), which are regarded as edible plants in Japan and China, as well as in the West.
