What is Osmanthus aurantiacus

In Japan, representatives of fragrant flowers are Spring Daphne(scientific name:Daphne odora), summer Gardenia (scientific name: Gardenia jasminoides), and Autumn Osmanthus aurantiacus (Kinmokusei, sceientific name: Osmanthus fragrans var. Aurantiacus).

Osmanthus aurantiacus, Fragrant olive, or Kinmokusei (scientific name: Osmanthus fragrans var. Aurantiacus) is native to China,and it is evergreen tall tree of the family Oleaceae. The leaves are green, boat shape, wall thickness, cortex. In the autumn, we add a lot of small yellow flower orange flowers that are fragrant to the inflorescences stretching from the axilla. The corolla is a bell shape and the tip is split four. There are two stamens in male flowers. Flowers are used to make potpourri and Keika sake.
