What is Coral plant

Coral plant (scientific name: Russelia equisetiformis) is native to Mexico and is a non-cold-resistant evergreen shrub of the family Plantaginaceae. From a long and narrow stalk similar to common horsetail (scientific name: Equisetum hyemale), it draws out a lot of extremely fine branches and hangs down, and many small tubular flowers bloom on the green stem. Red is the representative color, and there are also white and pink. The tip of the petal will split 4 to 5.Leaves are degenerated in scale. Breeding is done by breaking up stock or sprouting. It is similar to the flower called polyp. The genus name "Russelia" is a contribution to a British naturalist "Alexander Russell". "Species equisetiformis" means "shaped like Equisetum (genus Toxa)". The name of the flower called Firecracker Plant is due to the appearance of a large number of flowers attached like a spider firework.
The language of flowers is "to depart now".
