Alternanthera dentata(Alternanthera dentata cv. rubiginosa) is native to Brazil and is a non-cold-tolerant perennial grass in the family Amaranthaceae. A red leaf with a needle shape and a white spherical flower similar to Gomphrena globosa or Sennichiko (scientific name: Gomphrena globosa) .
Resistant to high temperatures and sunlight, the leaves turn bright red in the fall. In the same genus (Amaranthaceae genus), there are Sennicitikou (Sennichi Beni) and Kibana Sennicou (Yellow Sennicou).
