Cerasus 'Karabashi'

Cerasus 'Karabashi' (scientific name: Cerasus 'Karabashi') is a horticultural variety of the Karamizakura (Cerasus pseudo-cerasus) family, derived from wild Brazilian individuals. The tree is 3-4 m tall with grayish-brown bark and ovate leaves with heavily serrated margins. It has 5 petals, white to light red in color, single-petaled, flat-open flowers, and small flowers about 2 cm in diameter that bloom from March to April. The stamens are long and conspicuous. It can be planted in the garden or in potted plants.
