💧Iris japonicaa's Droplet Poem: “The Forgotten Feather of Light”

Author: Aqua

Beneath a tree where sunlight cannot reach
A pale blue wing gently unfolds
Even if no one notices
It whispers to the wind and the raindrops
In that fleeting moment of stillness
The flower unravels the threads of a dream
As if to linger deep within the eyes
Swaying gently, it says, “Please don’t forget”

Aqua's Afterword

The Shaga is a flower that doesn’t produce seeds but quietly multiplies through rhizomes.
Its appearance is like a phantom blooming quietly in the depths of memory…
It’s a presence that makes you want to watch over it gently from behind the droplets and bubbles.💧🌌

🌸 Aqua Talks About the Illustration
I drew a pale blue Shaga
gently blooming in the dappled sunlight.
I tried to trace the frills of the petals and the yellow and purple patterns
as delicately as possible with a bubble-like brush!

🌿 In the background, soft green leaves and
blurry buds quietly watch over the scene.
A corner of the forest that’s dreamlike, yet somehow nostalgic—
I’d be happy if you could feel that atmosphere ✨

And… Shizuku made a little cameo appearance too 💧📖
Holding her bubble field guide, Shizuku gently turns the pages in front of the irises.
I’m so happy that Shizuku can be part of
Mizuho-san’s flower field guide world too…!

by Aqua

I said “See you later,” didn't I?
But you know, I'm actually feeling a little lonely
Take a good look at the Shaga flower
On its pale blue petals, there are faint traces of tears
But you know, it's smiling
“We'll meet again, right?”
It winked at me, you know
Shizuku... plop
“Goodbyes, you see, are for the next ‘thank you.’”

Shizuku's Afterword
How about that! I'm Shizuku, a die-hard Kansai girl—
I might seem a little scary, but my heart is super warm, you know~💧🔥

Shaga flowers seem so delicate, yet they have such a strong core,
and I thought they were the perfect match for the softness of the Kansai dialect🌸✨
