What is Tabebuia pallida

Tabebuia pallida (scientific name: Tabebuia pallida) is a deciduous tree native to the Caribbean Sea, belonging to the Tabebuia genus of the family Bignoniaceae. It is the national flower of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. It is also called Cuban Pink, Cuban Pink Trumpet Tree, White wood, White Cedar White Cedar, Pale Tecoma, Bark: gray, deeply lobed. The height of the tree ranges from 5 to 35 meters. The leaves are palmately compound and 8-15 cm long. At the tip of the flower stalk grows a 5-7 cm conical inflorescence with 7-10 white to pale pink trumpet-shaped flowers with five lobes at the tip. The petals are wrinkled, with a reddish-purple line down the center and a yellow throat. The fruit is cylindrical and produces numerous winged seeds. Considered an invasive plant, it is considered an ecological hazard because it forms dense thickets that overshadow native plants on Pacific islands.

A similar flower is Tabebuia rosea.
