What is Malabar
Malabar (scientific name:Basella alba, Basella rubra.) is a annual vines grass vegetable of the family Basellaceae , Basella genus native to South-East Asia .
Stem length is 300 - 400 cm and stem color is purple (native), green. Flower color is white or light pink and flowers are spikes. The leaves are wide oval is green. There are no petals and flowering is from June to September. The leaves and stems become the vegetables andbecom stickiness by scalding. It is fried by Chinese food and ingredient of the soup by the Vietnamese cuisine. It includes β-carotene and vitamin C, iron content, calcium, magnesium in an ingredient.
