What is Cerasus sargentii

Oyama-zakura or Oyamazakura (scientific name: Cerasus sargentii) is one of the original species of cherry trees in Japan. It grows wild in the mountains from Japan to Russia. It is similar to the yamazakura (scientific name: Cerasus jamasakura). The similarities between the Oyama-zakura and the yamazakura are also in the name of the flower, but both have dark green leaf surfaces and bloom at the same time the leaves develop. The flower has five petals, and the fruit is a spherical kernel that ripens to a blackish purple color in May and June. The differences between the two are as follows.
