White Egret Flower (scientific name: Pecteilis radiata, syn: Habenaria radiata) is a perennial heron grass in the Family Orchidaceae, native to Japan, the Korean Peninsula and Taiwan. It is native to the lowland marshes of Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu in Japan. In summer, it produces one to three egrets-like flowers that look like flying egrets at the top of the stem, which emerge from between the rhizome leaves.
