Viburnum dilatatum or Gamazumi (scallop, scientific name: Viburnum dilatatum) is native to Japan, the Korean Peninsula and China, it is a cold-resistant evergreen shrub of the genus Rumphus. From May to June, vermillion buds will bloom and white aggregate flowers with fragrance will bloom. The egg-shaped fruits ripen dark purple from October to November overlapping with flowering. Fruits are used for flower arrangements and cut flowers. Red fruit comes in autumn.
